My passion is working with the human form, either portraiture or figures in motion. “I want my paintings to convey the story of the person or persons portrayed. Capturing colour light and movement are essential aspects of my work”
Originally trained in magazine illustration where life drawing was a major part of the course.
Post graduate course in Art Therapy at the Hertfordshire school of Art and Design. Mary has worked with people with learning disabilities and in psychiatry. During this period Mary continued to paint and exhibit.
Rearing 3 children and working part-time with her husband in object conservation for museum display. Modelling figures for ship models, seas and cargos. Clients – Museum in Docklands (Museum of London) National maritime Museum and The Turner House.

She also exhibits on regular basis at THE OLD WORKSHOP GALLERY Corpusty, Norfolk.
