Having drawn and painted from an early age, she left school at the age of 16 Margaret started working for artist Dennis Syrett in his Art Shop. Dennis encouraged her painting, and in her teens, she exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London. Life thereafter became very busy with work and family commitments leaving almost no time to create over the next 40 years. During that time her love of hand-made prints developed – she often said that they have a wonderfully unique quality quite unlike paintings and are an affordable way to own original art.
A few years ago she started to create again and taught herself the reduction method of lino printing and dry point etching. She gained confidence in the work she was producing and began exhibiting locally and selling online; with her work now in homes around the world.
