Annual Open Exhibition

Call For Entries Now Closed

Thank you to everyone who has entered this year

The Institute of East Anglian Artists Open Exhibition is held annually at The Gallery Holt, North Norfolk, and open for submissions by any artist within East Anglia. The upcoming 2021 exhibition will be held for the first time in Spring, opening to the public Saturday 15 May* until Tuesday 25 May*.
All selection stages for this exhibition will be held online, thus reducing potential long journeys for some artists.
The IEA represents the best emerging and established artists in the region (for these purposes we’ve interpreted the area quite generously, so please refer to the IEA region map). The route to IEA membership is via successful submission to the Open Exhibition on this and subsequent years. We are proud to have a long-standing relationship with The Gallery Holt, whose recently refurbished contemporary gallery has also hosted exhibitions of work by ROI and RI members. We look forward once again to holding our 2021 exhibition there.
Artists may now submit up to 6, rather than 3, pieces of work, increasing their chances of selection.
All pre-selected works (whether included in the final selection or not) will be displayed on The Gallery’s own website during the exhibition and will be available for sale.
The commission on sales will be only 35% – inclusive of The Gallery’s own handling charges. This rate is lower than that previously charged and compares favourably with almost all current rates of commission.
Good luck to everyone.

All work must be submitted online via this page.

If the exhibition cannot be held physically in May it will be shown online and the possibility of a new exhibition date may be rescheduled at the discretion of The Gallery.

Therefore, all accepted submissions will remain recorded and in “waiting” for 2021 until a physical exhibition can take place. If you wish to have any selected works removed from “waiting” during this time you will need to advise us.
