WORKSHOP – Munnings Weekend
June 22 - June 23£140
Munnings Weekend – June 22nd & 23rd
Come for the weekend to a lovely Suffolk farm and learn to draw old farmer Gus, his horses and buildings. Two tutors will help us with different aspects of drawing and painting atmospheric images of both humans and horses.
Day One: Jim Power, AIEA & member of the Society of Equestrian Artists, will help us with the key pointers for learning how to draw horses. Jim used to breed horses in Newmarket and will come hotfoot from teaching the drawing of horses at the nearby Munnings Museum.
Day Two: Julia Hawkins, AROI, will join us from Surrey to show how she organises a picture of a person for the best result.
Weather permitting we will have Gus sitting outside with his animals in the morning and with two different models for the afternoon. If the weather is poor we will then be working from the models inside the barn.
